Womens Introduction to Rock Climbing

This course is ideal for anyone who identifies as a woman, wanting to access rock climbing outside. From learning to bouldering to belaying, to abseiling and rock climbing. Experience of climbing and belaying (indoors or outdoors) is not essential. This is a women’s specific course, helping to develop female talent, skills and confidence in climbing outdoors.

This course has been created to support the Women of the Southwest accessing outside climbing.

We will look to introduce you to climbing in a supportive and encouraging environment, making sure you get the most out of the day. All equipment is included.

The course will include:

  • Background and Planning.
  • An awareness of the types of places you can climb in the UK and Ireland
  • How to use guidebooks and mobile devices to find crags and routes
  • Crag etiquette and the work of the mountaineering councils.
