West Country Adventures
“Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximise their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them.”
The south west is home to some of the best outdoor venues; whether you are looking for coaching to enable you to progress in your sport, or looking to try something new and get away on a mini-adventure, West Country Adventures has something for you.
We provide first-class coaching and adventures for individuals and small groups. Our focus is ensuring you have the opportunity to develop, discover and be safe.
We provide top coaches in a range of activities; providing equipment and taking you to some of the most inspiring and stunning venues the west country has to offer.
At West Country Adventures we specialise in performance coaching and guiding in outdoor adventure sports. We offer a range of courses from personal guiding to tailored coaching in both land and water based activities for people of all abilities; aiming to introduce, progress and develop individuals to help achieve their goals.
Our small team of highly experienced and qualified coaches linked with low ratios, ensure you get the most from your time with us.

Our mini-adventures focus on getting you into the outdoors and unknown. We aim to ensure your adventure has a real sense of journey and purpose, so whether you want to explore the estuaries by kayak, walk and camp on Dartmoor or SUP and climb along our stunning coastline, we have something for everyone.
We work with individuals, families, small groups and pride ourselves in providing top-quality adventures.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we have temporarily stopped running our Adventures. We will continue to monitor and adhere to the governments advice and look forward to running these fantastic experiences in the future.
We had five brilliant days over around 3 weeks with Paul, and subsequently I have joined a climbing club and have recently had the confidence to go out with climbers who are relative beginners. I have been out with Paul since to check my skills and work on my technique and it has always been a great experience. Without his thorough training in rope-work, building belays, placing gear correctly and moving on the rock, and his careful supervision and positive feedback, I would never have gained the confidence to climb on rock and indeed lead! As I have grown in confidence, I am wondering about doing my SPA, to cement my skills. This would have been unthinkable without Paul’s encouragement and training.
