Women’s south west rock weekends

Working in partnership with Adelong, another local like-minded company, we have designed the Women’s South West Climbing weekend for 2022, aiming to bring anyone who identifies as a women from across the UK together, to develop and support both your traditional and sport climbing journey.

The event aims to introduce women to lead climbing outdoors, as well as support intermediate climbers who are looking to continue developing their skills, wanting to gain more confidence, and want to become more independent.

This weekend will allow you to climb in a supportive and encouraging environment alongside other women; local MCI holder Charlie and RCDI holder Tori will be making sure you get the most out of your weekend, using local crags around South Devon.

So whether you are wanting some input ahead of your Mountain Training RCI course, want to ask questions and take the time you want without pressures from others, or ready to take those early steps into your leading career, this weekend could help you achieve your aims.

Attended the women’s introduction to lead weekend and loved it! Tori was so informative, supportive and calm
We learned how to do everything safely and efficiently, and I’m now so excited to put everything into practice. Thank you so much. Izzy Stanesby, Women’s South West Rock Weekend, June 2022

The course consists of 2 days where we provide skill-based clinics. A typical course will cover fundamentals of movement, environmental and venue awareness, building sound belays, seconding and top roping, confidence building and skill development in sport climbing and/or traditional climbing.

The course will use venues in Devon and Dorset.

We provide all your equipment, including harnesses, helmets, ropes and gear, so you can focus on you.
